Flecker Gardens
Flecker Gardens is a haven for various exotic species of palms, large trees, ferns, orchids, bromeliads, and insect-eating pitcher plants. It was created in 1886 and is home to tropical flora and plants are rarely found anywhere in the world.
The garden is also surrounded by various fruit-bearing trees such as Mangosteen, Soursop, Black Sapote, and the Durian tree. Be amazed at the 70 kg Amorphophallus Titanum and its massive 7-meter leaf and one of the world’s rarest tropical flowers.

You can also hear the sound of flowing water through from its different brooks, streams, and waterways that add a relaxing ambience to the botanical garden. It’s also a favourite location for pictorials with family and friends. Take stunning pictures among the flowers, trees, and beautiful landscapes. See birds, butterflies, and other insects freely flying between the lush green landscape.
Afterwards, enjoy delicious food underneath giant canopies in the Botanical Garden Restaurant. Be one with nature while you’re enjoying a meal in the open-air venue. The freshwater lake is home to 130 species of birds. It has a great variety of wildlife, including fish, water birds, and turtles. Just keep an eye for crocodiles, which occasionally appear on the lake.

Whitfield Conservation Reserve
Located just behind the Flecker Gardens is a 300-hectare forested mountain. Mt. Whitfield Conservation Reserve has walking trails that are a favourite of hikers and adventure seekers.
